Unique crayons made by Brooklyn based artist Kristen Jensen. Jensen uses natural color powders from Kremer pigments in combination with waxes and cocoa butter to make vibrantly hued wax blocks that she uses in her drawing practice

Kristen Jensen is an artist based in Brooklyn, New York. She holds a BFA  in Printmaking from Syracuse University and an MFA in Combined Media from Hunter College. Her artistic practice comprises sculpture, drawing, and performance: each playing a role in questioning subjective relationships to physical and mental space, form and emptiness, and the often-imperceptible division between. The materials that she uses: their history, varied meanings, and symbolic potential are at the forefront of her practice. Collected over years from people or found in her immediate surroundings, these materials and objects are often incorporated into the physical works or influence the forms she makes and performs with.
